"Not fit for purpose"

Having visited my daughter on Haringey Ward for over 3 weeks now my view is that the care offered here is not caring, lacks communication either with patients or relatives/carers, and does nothing for the patient. The staff appear to spend little contact time with patients but spend their time locked in their office, occasionally sending one member staff for a quick walk through the ward. Enquiries by relatives are met with reticence to disclose any information about anything. All that appears to happen is that the staff are only interesting in giving medication with little or no counselling. In all if I could get my daughter out I believe myself and the support system we have around us would do more to improve her mental health alongside the medication she is taking than her remaining at St Anns where she does not feel safe contradictory to the safe place that St Anns should be providing for their patients.
