"Bad experience on Huntsman 4 at Northern General"

I am 17 years old and, after breast reduction surgery, I was readmitted to Huntsman 4 with an infection in my left breast. I was quite frightened yet nobody came to reassure me. I appreciate that ward staff are busy, but during my stay I was left with soiled dressings and when asked to have them changed, I was given a pack and told to do it myself. Very little explanation was given to me regarding my treatment and nobody seemed to care. On the day of discharge my consultant was on the ward and didn't bother to come and see me. I would not recommend the Northern General hospital to anyone!
