"Excellent Midwifery Care"

Our son was delivered at UHND earlier this month in a difficult and traumatic birth. The midwifery team and registrar were absolutely fantastic and kept us informed of what was happening at every stage at a time when we were truly terrified. We felt that the care we received was of paramount importance to the delivery team and were extremely impressed that whilst in hospital we received numerous follow up visits from the registrar and midwives to ensure that we fully understood what the complications had been and why the action taken had been necessary. Thankfully, our son was absolutely fine following delivery and we will always be extremely grateful for the speed and care with which the team acted when it mattered most. Once transferred to the post-natal ward, it was obvious that the midwives were extremely busy but we always felt that when they were dealing with us we were their primary concern. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they should be commended for their professionalism and excellent patient care.
