"Worse than a Prison - Avoid At All Costs."

Having to unfortunately experience a family member being admitted here, she was made to sleep on a bare mattress on the reception floor for the first night and was then moved to a cold, bare room, which was more like a prison cell, and had a wooden bed base but no mattress - quite a disgusting site to find in the 21st century. Staff were uninterested and unhelpful and worst of all, unprofessional. How a place like this can survive without being inpected by the governing bodies amazes me. Daily verbal abuse and noise goes on without any intervention by staff. There appears to be no overall management or medical assistance available. No-one is willing to discuss a patient's wellbeing or what a family can do to help. This is a scary and desolate place, and I pray that I never have to face anything like this myself. Such a stain on the National Health in 2013.
