"Amazing staff - Cant speak highly enough of all of..."

About: Kettering General Hospital

Our 8 week old daughter was admitted to the Skylark ward at 11pm on Christmas eve and we left at lunchtime on 27th December. Turns out she had Bronchiolitis and a chest infection. I can not thank everyone on the skylark ward enough for her/our treatment during our stay. The nurses and doctors do an absolutely fantastic job not only with the children, but with their reassurance to us parents. My praise doesn't stop there however. All the house keeping staff and all the catering/cleaning staff were a credit to Kettering General Hospital. We even had a visit and present from Father Christmas on xmas day. Having a child is the best thing thats ever happened to me - Seeing them unwell is the worst. The staff on Skylark ward did everything they could to help us and our daughter and for that, we will be eternally grateful - You are all angels.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your stay on Skylark. The staff on the ward work very hard to provide a high standard of care and it is always done with the child and family at the centre of this process. It is much appreciated when people take the time and trouble to thank staff for their care and I know the whole team, nurses, doctors, care assistants, play team and housekeepers will be very pleased to read that your stay was a successful one. Christmas is a difficult time for anyone to be in hospital but we work very hard to ensure children do not miss out on the normal celebrations. Father Christmas always goes out of his way to call into Skylark on his way home to the North Pole! Thank you once again for your kind words, hoping your daughter is feeling better now. Regards Skylark Ward
