Last Thursday I went to the Infirmary as I could not get an appointment with a GP surgery. I was having breathing problems due to a chest infection. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful but especially the nurse who I saw. She did lots of tests and explained everything to me as we went along and why she wanted a doctor to see me. The doctor who I saw was also very pleasant again explaining everything to me. It was wonderful to be given treatment on the spot which really helped me. It was also great to get my medication from the unit as we were on holiday and we would have had to have found pharmacies who were working late evening which would have been difficult as we did not know the area. The NHS gets such bad reviews so often but this is a centre of excellence. Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful help and advice.
