"sandbourne suite/womans health unit"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

i was on the sandbourne suite for day surgery.from when i was admitted, until i was discharge the nurses was helpful, friendly, really happy and smiley.nothing was to much trouble.i didn,t have any worrys or concerns.i was very impressed with the relaxed enviorment of the ward.i would certainly recommend the sandbourne suite to anyone that is going in there.womans health ward i didn't enjoy the experience.i was on the ward for one night.i cannot fault the nurses.the ones i met worked hard, and made sure you was okay.the problem was a the night,i had sugery during the day,but that night i didn't get any sleep, because you could hear woman in labour.not their fault.you could hear people talking and the phone ringing on the maternity ward all during the night.so i wasn't impressed, and i was glad to be discharged,so i could get some sleep.i wouldn't be keen to go back on that ward, nothing against the nurses

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We take all feedback very seriously and use it to inform improvements to the services we provide. Thank you for noting our high standards of care at the Sandbourne Suite and the importance of kindness, courtesy and good information when giving care, allowing you to be free of worries and concerns. We will share your feedback with the relevant staff who will be delighted We do aspire to every department being 10/10 and I am sorry to hear your time on Women’s Health Unit was not so favourable but I thank you for noting that this was not due to lack of care from the nursing staff. We are aware that noise at night is an issue for patients across the country and we are striving within the Trust to find ways to reduce this problem and have an active programme in place to address this. Please contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) office on 01202 704886 if you wish to discuss your experience further. Thank you again and hope you have a speedy recovery. Sue
