"Birth experience at Hillingdon hospital"

About: Hillingdon Hospital

I recently gave birth at Hillingdon hospital. The antenatal care and care during and after the delivery was excellent. I developed diabetes when pregnant and the care I received was really good and well coordinated. I was particularly impressed with the postnatal care on the ward. This is my second child and I had lots of difficulty breast feeding my first child. When I explained this to staff and told them that I really wanted to try breast feeding again, they ensured that I had lots of support to help me. I ended up staying in hospital for a few days as my son was born 5 weeks early and needed treatment for jaundice. I really can't fault the care I received.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Our midwives always strive so hard to provide a very high standard of care and will be very happy to hear they have achieved this. We try so hard to support breastfeeding when at times it isn’t plain sailing and again it is wonderful to hear that you got the right support to have your wishes realised.
