"What a fantastic hospital"

I arrived at Fulwood Hall terrified at my impending total hysterctomy. From the moment I arrived the staff could have not been more friendly and reassuring. I was able to see my surgeon for a short discussion just before, and a little after, my operation and he visited me each morning throughout my stay - thank you. Throughout my stay the care and attention given by all the nursing staff was superb - they always have time to listen to you and you do not feel like just another patient. The catering staff and cleaners are also very friendly and the food is very enjoyable. I did not feel very hungry but the menu did have some lighter options that were suitable. I was discharged three days after my operaion with clear guidelines, both written and verbal, as to medication, removal of stitches, pain relief and what to do about returning to work and resting etc . On my first day at home the ward sister called to ask how I was and if I had any queries - what fantastic aftercare. I have to say that every aspect of my treatment was brilliant at Fulwood Hall and I would like to thank all the staff and would recomend the services to all
