"Signs needed at Wythenshawe Children's Dept"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a relative),

We visited the Children's Outpatients Dept at the Wythenshawe Hospital today with my son. The clinical treatment we received from the doctors and nurses was great, but the experience was marred by the inadequate signage at the hospital to help first timers like ourselves find the department in the first place.

I had to ask in another dept for directions and then guess which might be the right building. Not a good start. However, worse than that, when we had to go to a different department for pre-meds the nurse took us half way there and then left us to find the rest of the way by ourselves...we couldn't find the place and had to return to the children's dept, "empty-handed". All in all a very frustrating experience.

And where do the receptionists learn their people handling skills? A smile and a nice word wouldn't go amiss! I almost needed treatment for stress following this mercifully short visit, hope it improves when he is admitted.
