About: Solihull Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

my visit was an eye opener from the last time i had to visit this hospital, this is my local hospital and the improvements were great. the only let down i had was to be told iwould have to go to heartlands for my next appointment, after my visit to heartlands i requested that my next appointment to be at solihull as it's my local and has all the facilities for the problem i have at this time only to be told that the consultant did not have many surgeries at this hospital (so much for choose & book????)

What could be improved

have the consultants devied his time equally between both hospitals to give both area's the oppotunity of getting the service without having to travel and be kept waiting because of there clinics being over booked they can not keep to appointment times.

Where possible we do try to accommodate patients at their hospital of choice. However, if the appointment is deemed urgent, it may be necessary for this to take place at one of our other sites. This is purely to ensure patients are seen quickly and is often the result of a previous cancellation. Unfortunately any delay to appointment times may be the result of an unforseen emergency or due to an urgent need for assistance elsewhere in the Hospital.
