We sincerely and wholeheartedly apologise for the length of time your mother waited to be seen in our Accident and Emergency Department. This is really most regrettable and not the kind of experience we would wish for any of our patients. In common with A&E departments across the region, we are seeing an unprecedented demand for our emergency services but we try very hard to maintain high standards of care. We have clearly failed you and your mother on this occasion.
