"third world treatment"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

My wife was held down like an animal a round tube was forced into her mouth and a camera stuffed down her throat. I had asked about the procedure on the day as I went to the hospital with her because she was beside herself having heard that the proceedure was worse than child birth (this by a friend of hers). A male nurse came out to the waiting room area and explained that the proceedure was "just a scratch of teh throat" and that she could be put to sleep if it became uncomfortable. This option was never given to her. I now know why they would not allow me to be with her. I am forwarding this complaint with out her knowing as she is waiting for a operation and feels it will jeopodise her chance,of getting her operation now as she has been on the waiting list for a long time and is constantly in pain. My wife was extremely traumatized for a week after the procedure. I went to the police the next day to lay a charge of assault but they advised me to approach the hospital and forward my complaint. I made it quite clear to them that I will not be held responsible for my actions. I have taken their advise and I am now forwarding this complaint to sort this mess out. I am of no illusion that this is an on going practice by this certain doctor to the degree of this being a "joke" to him and his staff. I am assuming that the hospital do not hold the same sentiments as this individual, and he is repremanded as soon as possible. Regards
