"Review of Surgical trage unit and ward b2 Crumsall..."

The staff both medical and clerical on both ward and assessment unit were wonderful. The staff were polite and couldn't do enough for you, the receptionist on the assessment unit noticed I was in pain and helped me quickly with a lovely manor. When I arrived onto the ward the staff were so kind and also had a lovely bedside manor. The nurses and auxiliary staff were wonderful. I was so upset at one point and immediately a auxiliary came to see if I was ok, then a nurse came to help as well. The communication between the staff was second to none. They all knew from beginning to the end of their shift who had been given what treatment and why. They did so much for myself and other patients. The ward clerk chased up notes and results etc to help quicken treatment. Though they were always so busy and rushing around they always had time for you if you needed them, they never once made me feel like I was bothering them. The care and manor and concern towards their patients is amazing. The doctors manor who I saw on the ward, who I noticed had been on the assessment unit and hadn't stopped for 12 hours was also lovely, a great manor, excellent communication skills and I felt confident in the treatment I received from her and another doctor. He explained what he thought had happend to me and why and what will happen next. I was also snowed in and I didn't feel as though I was a bother to stay, as I couldn't get safe transport home due to my husband being stuck on the motorway. If every ward in the trust is as efficient, knowledgeable and has the staff like this ward and assessment unit we would be a very lucky country.
