"A&E"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

Visited A&E on Monday afteer getting toxic fluid in my eye. I was seen very quickly by Triage, the nurse who first saw me was great, she really helped me to see the funny side of everything and didnt make me at all embarassed about a stupid accident. I was taken through very quickly and again the same nurse and her colleague who washed out my eye were kind and gentle. The Dr I saw was great, very informative and I was out in under two hours. As a clumsy person I tend to fall a lot and also have back problems that lead to a lot of visits to hospital and this was probably the most efficient and least traumatic one yet. OK I would have preferred not to have been stuck in the plaster room but being busy is something the department can help as there is only one eye room.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, to give praise to the staff who cared for you during your visit to Musgrove Park Hospital at a time of emergency. It is always a pleasure to receive feedback such as yours and we thank you for your kind comments which we will send to the staff involved with your care. Positive feedback is much appreciated by our staff who work very hard to ensure all patients have a good experience when they are in our hospital. I am sorry, however, that you had to wait in a plaster room and thank you for your patience and understanding regarding that part of your visit. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness in writing.
