"The experience of a Doctor (as a patient)"

I had Cardiac Surgery in QE Hospital Birmingham and had post operative complications. Of late I had suspected Pulmonary Embolism. The Consultants Nurses and other staff at Russells Hall Hospital (and the GPs) were very efficient and very helpful in resolving my problems and passing information to my cardiac surgeon. This is really how the NHS should work (seamlessly between hospitals). I am a Consultant Physician from Sheffield, and I know Consultants in Russells Hall Hospital and therefore my experience is probably an exception. But it should not be any different for any patient. What is most important is for the Trust to be mindful of the patient experience and learn from it.
