"Gastro - The Scope"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

Anything else?

Hi everyone I was admitted to Gastroscopy because of chronic abdo pain. The nurse was very friendly and explained and talked me through the procedures although I was a bit nervous. During the procedure the nurse was very supportive and comforting, I was in some discomfort when the scope was in my throat to my stomach but the nurse was very supportive during the examination and I felt at ease and the Endoscopist carefully looked in and around my gullet and stomach and told me I did really well although I still have my abdo. pains, I was happy with the whole team they were excellent and I would reccommend them to anyone with stomach problems. Thankyou to Endoscopy

We’re very glad to hear your experience was a positive one, and that you felt cared for and well-informed by the nurses and other colleagues about the procedure.

I’m sure these colleagues will be pleased to read your feedback which we will happily pass on to them.

Thank you for taking the time to comment - we hope that other people who may be worried about coming into hospital for the same procedure will be reassured by reading your story.
