About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

Anything else?

Cleanliness - Aisles and main rooms are clean. Rubbish from coffee shops in the main entrance shows the RVI don't care or people going to them don't Staff co-operation - the staff don't have a clue. If you don't fit into their "usual suspect" patient they cannot handle it. The word 'involved' is used as nothing more than a word with only false promises and no hope behind it. I've been more involved in making a cup of tea. Admin staff crumble when you ask them for a letter at the desk, if you're expecting one in the post (yes some of us do need them for our employers) they just send them when they want. If you phone up and ask for one to be sent at a time you want the admin team can't manage. I would like to be able to go to the RVI explain my symptoms, how they get worse and get some help to manage it, odd as it may sound I thought this is what this service did. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. A clueless bunch of people who put themselves before the care of patients. Even my consultant admitted that pain is "third" on his rung of responsibilities.
