"Excellent Nursing Care, shame about the food!"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

Anything else?

From being bluelighted via ambulance to A&E to MAU to C14 I cannot fault the care that I received recently. I was admitted for nearly 10 days and was very well cared for by all. I only wish I could afford the same compliments about the food! I have never tasted food as bad. Bearing in mind that for half of my time as an inpatient I did not have an appetite so when I was feeling ready to begin eating, the food was so unappetising, the only thing I did eat was breakfast! The bread on which the sandwiches were served was stale and the everything else was tasteless! How can people be expected to recover (particulary elderly people, when the food is so dreadful?
