"Staffing"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Anything else?

Twice i visited the A & E and spent up to 7hrs (Most of the night) waiting for a doctor to see me, I'd had a suspected stress fracture (Turned out to be tendon damage) Visit 1: Was told they don't do x-rays on foot problems and was told to take pain killers and go doctors. Arrived at 8pm left midnight. time spent with doctor? 8mins Visit 2: Arrived at 1.30am as foot had swelled twice the size, Triage said i'd have x-ray, by 2.45am i was told to wait for doctor. at 7.10am a junior doctor saw me just to say no fracture, take more pain killers. time spent with doctor 3mins. there was not many people about but loads of staff sitting around, some moaning about pay and drunks, one gent who had been in from midnight had been bleeding from his penis, he was told in a corridor to go home, he was told that they made him wait in case it stopped. A utter disgrace!
