I ruptured a muscle in my right arm playing sport and attended A&E for assessment. The A&E team arranged for me to attend the fracture clinic within 48 hours, where it was confirmed that surgery was required. Surgery was arranged 3 days later and this meant that I had the arm repaired 6 days following injury (I was also lucky enough to have a consultant undertake the repair). I am now recovering nicely and am very grateful to the NHS. The wait in A&E was fairly long but I think that it important to remember that the NHS is a fantastic free service. I do not believe it would have been possible to have a quicker service if paying privately. I would like to say a huge thank you to the NHS and all the admin / clinical staff involved in my care.
"Fantastic orthopaedic care."
