"poor attention to health and safety/ wound..."

About: Croydon University Hospital

Anything else?

Treatment carried out in Virgin care Bit dissapointment by member of staff wearing full lenght fibrecast attending to wound with very high potential of introducing infection and very poor examination of wound it self. Would like to know if it is Virgin Care's staff policy of wearing siletto heels and casts allowed. Realised it is a different company to the A&E but both are providing care on behalf of the primary care trust and I do not expect that standards should be any less. Really expected more from this service as it was my first visit there but felt very let down by poor attention to basic hygiene and wound care.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As you mention, the Urgent Care Centre that is situated on the Croydon University Hospital site is administered by Virgin Care, not by Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. We have passed on your comments to Virgin Care.
