"Appendicitis on Boxing Day"

My 10 yr old son was admitted through A&E on Boxing Day with suspected appendicitis. Although it was in the middle of the holiday period the A&E service was well staffed. My son had excellent care in A&E and on M3 after his appendix op on Boxing Day evening. We were kept well informed of my sons progress throughout his 6 day stay. All staff from the A&E and surgical team, Doctors and Nursing Staff alike provided excellent care, always with a smile. My son never felt frightened but safe and the nursing staff were always checking on his pain scores.
