I visited the minor injuries unit for a very painful foot that I could not put weight on. I asked for some crutches for a couple of days to help me get about but was told their policy was not to issue them unless I had broken something. I was told however I could get crutches from Argos. When I asked how I would get to Argos when I couldn't even get to the hospital exit without assistance the nurse sighed heavily and 'Stropped' off. I eventually was given some crutches - and a leaflet I had already downloaded from the NHS website (which advised taking the weight off my foot - hence my request for crutches) A few days on after using crutches my foot improved significantly. Sadly since having had to return them it has deteriorated again.
