Having started to become breathless while out playing golf, and finding it was progressively getting worse I was referred to STDH cardiology dept. for treatment, after a consultation it was decided to carry out a angiogram. The whole staff from my reporting to ward 4 to having the procedure carried out ant the follow on treatment up to discharge could not of been more professional. The care and attention were first class. I am now about to have a pacemaker fitted and had the choice of which hospital carried out the procedure, I had no hesitation on insisting it was STDH as I have every confidence in the first class treatment I shall receive. I have had to have blood samples, x-rays, breathing assessments etc. etc. to determine my health problem, every dept. although at times bursting with attendees / patients carried out their duties to the highest degree.
