"Beware Urology Leicester General Hospital"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

Beware if you have been referred for treatment at LGH Urology unit. As an outpatient my care so far has been shocking to the point that I would seriously consider asking my GP for referral to another hospital, but feel a grieved that I should be even feeling that way and even be in a position such as this. Nursing care on the whole okay, but in all outpatient appointments (within the urology unit) that I have been too at some point there is always some negative comment from nursing staff directed towards each other about having too much to do.... so can't help but feel an in convenience. Selection of Consultants rude.....say no more. I have recently been for a pre admission appointment of which yet again added to my frustrations highlighting the incompetency and total lack of regard for patient confidentiality, due to one of the Doctors telling me in front of other patients what his plans for my care was going to be! Following this I was approached by another patient whom preceded to inform me how embarrassed he felt on my behalf! Finally I have been an inpatient on ward 29 in the past, but due to restriction of word count for review far too much to list of negative feedback, however, on a positive note I did come out alive...so grateful for that. I hope that 2014 is a better new year for all concerned.
