Anything else?
I spent 4 weeks on the Victor Bonney ward in August/September 2013, having been admitted through A and E. Overall I was extremely impressed with the quality of my care. The Drs and nurses treat a large range of problems (many of them emergencies) and involving a complete cross section of female patients. My consultant and her team were first rate - in my case, they took very good clinical decisions, kept me informed, involved me in decisions (as they knew that was my preference) and treated me with kindness, however much pressure they were under. The nursing staff were also very kind and unflinching, whatever the nature of the task they were called on to undertake. At times they were very stretched by demand, and facilities are a bit tired/old-fashioned (no Wifi, no TV etc). But these are minor negatives compared to the massive positive of how very well they looked after me. I consider myself very fortunate to have been in their care.
"Good experience"
