I am a patient from fairhaven young people unit and I really admire the service they provide, it did help. However, my only criticism is that we are not allowed to contact staff after discharge? It would be nice to liaise with them as they helped me in the past, to say thank you and all that.
Building a relationship and then breaking it isn't really great. It even might help patients improve on their mental health as they can give support. In addition, you can tell them the progress you have achieved - this will also benefit staff as they may be motivated to help more patients like me and they can receive the best outcome.
Thanks for reading.
