"Chest Infection not responding to treatment"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

Late on in December, 2013 I went to visit to David at Southwell Medical Centre as I had been diagnosed by him on a few days earlier as having a Chest Infection.

He prescribed an Antibiotic and as I have Asthma, Prednisolone if needed. Unfortunately my condition did not appear to respond to the treatment and my breathing deteriorated markedly thus causing Fridays visit.

Dr David referred me to Clinic 1 at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham. Whilst I was there although time wise it took around 10 hours I was checked and taken care of very professionally and diagnosis made, medicines prescribed and plans for further tests etc. to occur following the results of my X-Ray and Blood Tests. Since returning home my condition has improved significantly and I am recovering well from the infection.

Since returning home I have received 2 calls from Doctors at Queens Medical Centre to check on my progress which I appreciate and it also enabled me to ask questions that I had that arose following my discharge which were answered well.

I feel that the service provided by Clinic 1’s Doctors and Staff has been excellent and can only say that any Patient seen by this Department is in good hands
