Anything else?
My family have had numerous experiences wtih both Chorley and Preston Hospitals over many years and unfortunately, things don't change. The health service seems at breaking point so whether it's young or old it's helpful to keep an eye on the treatment your loved one is getting. My daughter received a drug she was allergic to only last year and so did my father - oops! If you want to complain, get hold of your records first. If you're not happy with the treatment make a note and ask them to make a note in the patient's file too and check it's been done. It makes it much easier to get the Chief Executive of the Hospital to refer to it when you're making your complaint. My duaghter's been in and out of hospital recently and surgeons been unable to find what's wrong. it's only the consultant for an appointment she's been waiting for, for months who seems to have got some answers. By the way we had been waiting months and was on a discharge (referral to specialit), however, when another checked on the 'system' no such referral had been done. I think I'll write a book entitled 'how to help the NHS join the dots' and 'how to find a dot.'
"When will they ever learn...?"
