About: York Hospital

Anything else?

I have given birth to my three children at this hospital, having the third was definitely the worst experience. First of all , straight after giving birth I had to make my way to the toilet by myself, on my way, I dripped blood on the floor of my delivery room so the nurse/midwife angrily tutted and scolded me saying 'I've just moped that floor'! Then I mentioned that I felt quite sick, so the nurse/midwife said she would get me something for the sickness. She told me to sit down then without warning, threw her arm back and stabbed me in my thigh with a syringe. I was deeply shocked by this as I was expecting a tablet, she was very hostile and quite hard and callous throughout the whole ordeal of having my baby. When I was wheeled to the nurses station with my baby, the nurses there were not smiley, friendly, approachable, in fact they made me feel that I shouldn't be there bothering them. This was supposed to be a special time in my life, truth is I couldn't wait to get out of this hospital, the staff ruined every bit of it.
