"A and E"

About: Trafford General Hospital

Anything else?

The weekend the A and E Dept was due to shut my mother experienced chest pain and we eventually found ourselves at Trafford General. Although we had already spoken with the on call GP service nurse (who was very pleasant) and seen in the walk in centre, it was decided my mother needed a more thorough examination to rule out any cardiac problems as she has had two stents inserted in the past and suffers from angina. The care she received from the point of Triage through to discharge was second to none in terms of care, communication and person centred care. All who had involvement in her care demonstrated a high standard of patient care from the doctor to the nurses and the porter in that took her to X ray. I was especially impressed with the nurse who was responsible for my mothers care who I believe was an agency nurse. Despite the obvious weight of the impending changes all the staff were experiencing all staff on duty demonstrated a compassionate, caring approach to my mother, myself and others in the A and E Dept. Please extend my thanks to all.
