My objective here is to draw attention to the large amount of walking and frequent absence of convenient lifts (repairs plus lack of capacity) and parking facilities which make it very difficult in the main hospital for those who are mobility challenged. I believe there is a lack of consideration for those with this sort of handicap. For example appointments made for Chard residents at Taunton Deane rather than locally.. There has been a failure to repair the ultrasound scanner at Chard Hospital and to provide appointments as close as possible, thus attempting to compel patients to make a a 40 minute one way journey, pay the parking fee and navigate the main hospital in Taunton for a 10 minute appointment.
