"I was seen on several occasions ..."

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was seen on several occasions as a patient and in out patients in January after undergoing major surgery. I found the staff extremely helpful and very friendly. My stay in both HDU and on the wards was spot on. From everyone from the Consultant to the cleaners. Nothing was too much trouble. Due to the nature of my operation I needs lifelong support and I have found the stoma care team to be very friendly, approachable and always willing to help.

What could be improved

The condition of the bathrooms. They were disgusting, dirty and smelling of urine. I feel that bathrooms should be kept emaculately clean. There was no head on the shower, the cubicle was dirty and full of hair. There were even leaves in due to an open window. Surely this is an area that deserves a little more time spending on it. I felt that I was more likely to contract germs from the bathroom than anywhere else.
