Anything else?
I attended the eye clinic again, yesterday, 19th Dec. As has happened before with previous appointments I was there for about 4 hours. I had a very prompt field test, then a sight test, followed by drops for photography followed by a very very long wait for the final consultation. There were also long waits in between all the different people I saw. The total time that I was actually being dealt with by somebody was about 30 minutes, the rest of the time was wasted waiting. One consultant seems to have to deal with most of the patients and is always running very late presumably because he has too many patients. Surely lessons on running the unit better could be learned from high street opticians where an appointment is kept to time and with no waiting between the sight testing, the field test, and the photography. Unfortunately they cannot deal with any treatments that may be required, but otherwise you are having the same procedures as at the hospital eye clinic but dealt with in a professional manner.
