"Unsafe, scared, appalling, nightmare scenario"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

Anything else?

I was a patient on ward 22, admitted on a friday night to CDU, was taken to ward 22 over the period of that weekend. I suffered increasing shortness of breath after arrival to ward 22, was coughing up blood and felt weak and very sick. I did not see a doctor for 12 hours after the onset of my symptoms because I was told there was only one medical doctor running the wards. When they came, they were able to assess me but unfortunately they were bleeped to go to an emergency somewhere else and the nurses did not know what to do and did not talk to each other nor did they talk to the doctor when they were there. My drug chart went missing and I was not given any painkillers. Also, I wanted to have a sip of water and it was either too far away from me or I did not have one. I felt scared and alone at this hospital.
