We can probably all recount tales of poor service and/or treatment at the hands of the health service. And, due to my wife's ongoing heart condition I spend a lot of time in hospitals in London and Essex and have seen both good and bad.
My mum is currently in Avon 2 ward at Worcester, nearing the end of her life. I cannot praise the entire team at this hospital highly enough for their professionalism, courtesy, and the hugely compassionate way they have dealt with my mum and us as relatives.
Nothing but nothing is too much trouble, from the HCA's to the nurses - and the doctors - who take time to explain things clearly and above all listen to concerns or worries and provide a meaningful answer.
The hospital is an exemplar of how we would all like health care to be. And in the current economic climate to deliver such service is nothing short of amazing. CEO, if you read this, you're doing an excellent - truly excellent - job.
