I was a patient on chelmer ward in sep 2013 having a triple heart bi pass procedure carried out.From the moment I arrived on the ward I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity being put at ease almost immediately by staff. My post op recovery period was dealt with by the team in a most professional and competent manner . I cannot thank nor praise the Basildon cardio thoracic services enough for the help , support and high quality care I received whilst a patient with them.I would also like to thank the cardiac rehab team who assisted me in to regaining my fitness and returning to work. I would highly recommend the unit to anyone facing a similar health problem
