Having had abysmal experience on many occasions at west Cumberland hospital I had low expectations when taken into Carlisle infirmary.I was very impressed with the atmosphere on the ward .the staff were lovely all were caring, professional and treated me and other patients with the utmost respect .the staff seamed to enjoy working together and looked after me very well .Even though I have private health insurance I would choose to be cared for and treated by the staff I met on beech .If I was to make a negative comment it would be to say I think more attention to infection control .i saw Vaseline passed from one patient to be used by another and piece of equipment at my bed had what looked like dried blood on it ! Also the ambulance staff held dressing packs in his mouth before opening and using on me . !
"The staff on beech were brilliant"
