Amazing Water Birth on the 13th Dec for my daughter, son-in-law and new grandson Archie. Aftercare excellent in transitional ward and a special thankyou to Student Midwife, Midwives who even sang "Away in a Manger" to Archie when he was unsettled. What an amazing thing to do. However, the Governments Health Minister urgently needs to look at staffing levels as other mothers in labour were being turned away due to the lack of bed space which was obviously down to the ratio of staff and not beds as many empty beds were evident. Another factor for this was perhaps this was the start of the weekend.???? Briony
