Is there any reason why no-one answers your phones? Communicating through answerphone messages is not efficient. I understand that you may be short staffed but I also work for the NHS and this kind of communication would not be acceptable I had an anomoly on my first scan - which took four hours...partly due to the position of the baby but also in part due to the 2 hours in the waiting room - maybe if you scanned on more days instead of restricting it to 3 days a week this would help the waiting problem. I was given introduced to a lovely midwife to discuss the anomoly and told that I would get my results for bloods within 2-5 days... its been over a week and no phonecall. Its our first baby so we are worried.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent experience here with us at Medway. I apologise that your call was not answered personally and that you had a long wait when attending your anomaly scan. In order for me to look into this properly, I would welcome more information so that I can thoroughly review your experience and then take the necessary actions. I am also anxious that you are awaiting some blood test results and can appreciate that this must be causing you anxiety. Please contact me on 01634 825157 so that I can chase these for you and gather more information from. Karen McIntyre Head of Midwifery
