"I've had to take my 9yr old ..."

About: Southend Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

I've had to take my 9yr old daughter to the Outpatients department twice over the past couple of months, once to ENT and then to the Paediatrics clinic. On both occasions we were seen very promptly (to my pleasant surprise as I was expecting a very long wait) and all the staff, from the receptionists right through to the Consultants were extremely courteous. My daughter was examined thoroughly and a detailed history was taken and although the ENT doctor reassured me that he didn't think there was anything serious going with her, he still referred her to a Paediatrician just to make absolutely sure. She has now been discharged from the hospital, but I have nothing but praise for the way we were treated.

What could be improved

Nothing that I can think of.
