"Feedback from The Willows at Highbury Hospital"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health (inpatient)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Today, we visited service users at The Willows to gather feedback about the services & facilities they receive on the ward.

This is the feedback we received:

"I think communication could be better. I need to know what’s going on around the ward because I don’t know what is happening a lot of the time and communication would help. ”

“Timings of meals are set which is not always good. Sometimes I want a meal later or before and I’m not able to have it. We have to order takeaways which cost money.

A lot of the time the food is not good either - but the Friday Fish and Chips are great! ”

“We think the staff on the Willows is splendid and fine. We like a Peer support worker on the ward; it helps. ”

Thanks so much for helping to gather feedback from The Willows at the Highbury Listening Event - it's particularly great to hear this person say that staff are 'splendid and fine', but they also raise an issue about personalised care (meal times, communication etc).

All comments gathered at the Listening Event are being shared with the senior management team who oversee Highbury services, and I'm sure they or a responsible manager will respond in more detail shortly.
