Posted on behalf of a service user on Redwood 2 (adult mental health ward) at Highbury Hospital:

This feels a nicer atmosphere than my previous acute ward, staff are nice but doing nothing for 18hrs a day does not cure me. The information packs are good though. I would like there to be NHS drop in centres for mental health like there is for physical health.

I have also stayed on Rowan 2, where my discharge information was sent to her home address, that it was hand written on the envelope and not marked Private and Confidential. It contained information that had not been discussed with me, including a secondary diagnosis. No information packs in the room about the rules and the daily routines.

Along with the Head of Involvement (Paul Sanguinazzi), I am responsible for the Trusts two Involvement Centres, and our Volunteering and Befriending Service. I help to report all of the feedback we receive as a Trust to the Board.
