"Chesterfield Hospital - Urology Department"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was transferred from Barlborough Hospital to Chesterfield by medicar. When I arrived I was in real discomfort, I was in pain. No catherter had been fitted so I was carrying water. The sister dealt with me straight away. She was great and relieved me by fiiting a catherter. She was also very good at explaining everything to me.

The department was very clean and the urologist came round to talk to me.

My son struggled to park when he came to visit.

The food and staff were great, it was all there "on tap", no problems at all.

I took the catherter home and a pack of 20. But I struggled with some of them and of course I was in alot of pain. So I called out the district nurse and he worked on me for a long time, he eventually succeeded in putting it on.
