"I was admitted to WGH yesterday ..."

About: Watford General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was admitted to WGH yesterday (Fri.08.08.08) for an angiogram and angioploasty by the doctor and his team. From the time I walked into the hospital to the time I left today I was treated with the utmost professionalism and courtesy which one would hope to find in a private hospital in Beverley Hills! Among the doctor's amazing and friendly team I would like to thank the consultant, three other staff members and in particular the doctor who, assisted by the consultant, treated me with an exceptionally professional and courteous manner, made me feel very much at ease and as comfortable as one can get under those procedural circumstances. I have every confidence that after having had my procedure I will, once again, feel my old self again. An amzing team at the X Ray department - not to mention the Nursing staff in Flaunden Ward who worked ever so efficiently and politely. I noted that one particular nurse was everywhere I looked, going full steam about her job and smiling warmly while being under what I believed to be a very stressful day for her. She went out of her way listening to all of us men in Bay 4 with the patience of an angel yet lent an ear to each and everyone of us in the ward. I would also like to mention how calm and peaceful the atmosphere in Flaunden Ward was which made my overnight stay a most comfortable and pleasant experience. As for the food - compliments to the chef!!! The chicken dish I had last night was incredibly succulent, tender and most delicious. Not to mention the lady who did the coffee round last night and the gentleman who brought the coffee trolley round this morning. Impeccable service - Thank you! In closing I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those I met during my short stay at Watford Gen. And thanks, again to the consultant, for coming to see me early this morning as promised last night. Everyone went beyond the "call of duty" in delivering what I can only descibe as an exceptional and sterling service. Thank you all. Butch Bracq
