I was admitted to RCH Treliske Neurology as an in-patient via A&E suffering from Status Epilepticus (bad epilepsy seizures!) As with most neuro problems, it is crucial that an accurate history is taken to aid with an accurate diagnosis. In order to get an accurate history, neurologists must actually listen to what their patient (and patient's relatives) says. Unfortunately, I found the neurologists who cared for me at Treliske to be incredibly arrogant, unapproachable and happy to make (incorrect) assumptions. This led to a mis-diagnosis and contributed to the break-up of my marriage and family.
I was appalled by these doctors attitudes. I will never, under any circumstances, go to Treliske again .
