Anything else?
An elderly neighbour who is 92 and gets confused easily was taken to A & E, I am his main carer and was unable to go with him. I was concerned about not being able to contact someone in A & E to enquire after his care and provide any medical details required, initially it was difficult to get through to A & E but eventually I was able to speak with a member of staff in the department and explain the situation. There was a member of staff who was exceptionally helpful, she was able to inform me when he was coming home therefore enabling me to be at his home ready to greet him and arrange for a carer to be there to assist him to bed. I was also advised that he would be sent home with some antibiotics and these I passed on to the carer as he was unable to remember he had been given any medication. I would just like to say thank you for the care and attention which was provided.
