"am i invisible"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Anything else?

I am waiting to have two operations one is for a kidney stone which has caused 2 bouts of kidney infections and two lots of sepsis, I have a nephrostomy bag collecting urine from my kidney which is painful, cant sleep well and cannot bath properly it was fitted nearly 4 weeks ago and it smells. I saw the consultant last week and was told I would be having op in first two weeks of january, I have enquired today to be told by appts that he shouldnt have told me that and apologised for him. I am now just left with a wee bag . Also I am waiting for a hernia op which causes me violent sickness and pain when it pops out I was in A and e last week and was told by the ghost doctor that he would also sort something out, tried to chase today but no discharge papers were done and the surgeon I was told I am dealing with actually left the hospital 2 weeks before I was there, so noone knows who I saw must have been a ghost but he did violently push my hernia back in. before this happened I had an agency nurse who couldnt put the canula in properly . what the hell is going on ? i am scared, abandoned and feel worried about what will happen to me , i need the nephrostomy bag removed as it is hurting me and seems a bit infected. But I am invisible so who knows what will happen to this nightmare. Colchester I put a great review 3 weeks ago, now you are disgusting liars who should be investigated

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. This forum is not designed to answer immediate medical needs and I would urge you to go to your GP first or visit an NHS Walk-in Centre or A&E. Nevertheless, we try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “Urology at RDEE4-Colchester General Hospital at 16/12/2013 15:29:26”, please? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
