"Survived the surgery but aftercare appalling"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) (London)

Anything else?

I did not have the “positive experience” promised. Nor did I feel “supported or respected throughout “ I barely felt acknowledge as a human being, apart from one nurse I was otherwise treated as an inconvenience rather than a person, no one called me by my name but referred to me as patient in bed number ? I will be submitting a formal complaint when fully recovered. Had I any idea of the nature and quality of "care" offered I would have gone elsewhere. I was vulnerable, scared and left for hours sweating in pain following a long major operation, it was a traumatic and frightening experience and very upsetting experience.
